Emblematic place of the city

The Promenade des Anglais

Before becoming one of the most famous walks in the world, it was, until the beginning of the 19th century, a dirt path called "Chemin des Anglais".

It was in 1931 that Queen Victoria's son inaugurated the much larger path. 7 kilometers long, it is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, many water activities, kilometers of fine sandy beaches, Art Deco style buildings and many other wonders.

Beautiful walks under the azure sun await you.

The city's must-see

Place Massena

Its construction began in the 1820s to become, today, the jewel that we know.

On one side, you will observe beautiful buildings on red arcades, on the other, marvelous hills and in the center seven statues, work of the artist Jaume Plensa, entitled "Conversation of Nice".

Discover the city center of Nice from a new angle with the Place Masséna!

The oldest district of the city

Old Nice

This picturesque setting, with its unusual alleyways, is a must-see. Stroll through the streets of Old Nice where the warmth of the South of France and historic buildings meet.

Let yourself be guided to discover the Opéra, the cours Saleya where you will find a market every morning, the old prefecture, the Chapelle de la Miséricorde or the Sainte-Réparate Cathedral.

This lively district is full of restaurants and bars.

Relaxation for all

The beaches of Nice

The more than 7 kilometers of coastline of Nice are divided into 20 public beaches and 15 private beaches. Relaxation and activities for the whole family will be on the agenda.

The city of Nice is labeled "Famille Plus" which makes it a destination of choice.

The first beaches are less than 800 meters from our hotel near the Promenade des Anglais in Nice center: Plage Beau Rivage, Plage du Centenaire, Plage de l'Opéra or Plage Blue Beach.

The downtown basilica

Our Lady of Nice

It was built in the 1860s. It is 25 meters high and has two square towers topping a large rose window.

During a visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, you will have the opportunity to observe the magnificent stained glass windows, the great organ, but also the nave. Its architecture is directly inspired by Angers Cathedral.

It is located on Avenue Jean-Médecin in the city center.

The unmissable event

The Carnival of Nice

Every year, at the end of winter, the famous Carnival of Nice is held. Nearly a million visitors of various nationalities gather to attend this spectacle.

The first mention of the carnival dates back to 1294, but it was in 1873 that the modern carnival was born.

Street arts, as well as local and international artists are honored during the Corsos parade. "The Battle of Flowers" is not to be missed.
